@TEKNIK Did you get round to testing these?
I'm looking for some 90+ CRI strips available in the UK and my options only really seem to be Gen 2 tunable Vestas or the Thrive strips, both with similar lm/W. I wasn't really able to gauge what people think of the Thrive spectrum from this thread. Is the concern around the differing spectrums shown when altering the current on the led-tech.de configurator?
I havent tested them yet, haven't been sent any. Im pretty sure you can buy the bridgelux gen3 in CRI90ukstripbuilder wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 8:24 pm@TEKNIK Did you get round to testing these?

Depending on the model of thrive you choose there are big differences in LPW but that doesn't always translate to higher performance for plant growth

I'd had a look for these before and didn't succeed, but just to double check I had another look. It does seem Future Electronics have some stock, but only in 2700K and 4000K 2ft/4ft. There's also a minimum order quantity of 20. Unfortunately I'm looking for around 12x 1ft strips in 5000K.
I'm considering the EB Gen 3 Thrive 1ft strips. The datasheet shows the spectrums as: Do you have any intuition how this might compare for Veg plant growth (at 5000K) compared to a CRI 90 spectrum? For example, the EB Gen 3 non-thrive CRI 90 with a spectrum like: Thanks for your help!
For veg 4000K and above works well in a cri90. It depends alot on how you want to grow. I wouldn't worry about using the thrive spectrum for veg alone personally.
Blue=short tight internodes, red=longer internodes and taller plants. This is why CRI90 4000k works, the balance is about right for veg.
Don't stress too much about a veg spectrum, just go for performance because they will end up fine even under a cri80.
If you wanted the best then 4000k Thrive would be about perfect for veg but you do loose efficiency at the same time. Buying 20pcs would increase the efficiency over purchasing just 12.
