Hello everybody, hope everybody is fine :D
im new here, sorry for my crap english im from europe, but i read a lot about led, spectum ,pcb ( almost made mine when led strip came out) , but im still a bit lost about led strip, and need your advises to finish my list setup,
my goal is to made the same structure than progrowtech (i put you picture of their device did but with my size and twice cheaper(well try to do the same but cannot make theire amazing led pcb strip mixed 2700/6500 + 660nm) :

- so i made a wardrobe which is 75" x 35" for 110" height ( 190cm x 90cm x 280cm )
i let 30" (75cm) height for vegetativ clone and mother space and 70" (175cm )height for the bloom area ( i let some height space for cable ventilation and co), the wardrobe space will be cut on the height to get the same surface for each area ( the vegetativ area will be movable for more conveniance and praticity)

- i made you some draw to show you how i imagine the stuff, tell me if its good and the question will be after that!! (thank you if you read until there! <3 ) :

My questions are:

- i need led rigid strip witch size is 20" long (50cm )x 1,14173" large(3cm) to fit perfectly with those heatsink
https://www.led-tech.de/en/CoverLine-Al ... hout-Cover
or these amazing from cutter :
https://www.cutter.com.au/proddetail.php?prod=cut3318
they have to be 40w each so 80 led at 0,5w max , i think for this lenght strip, led are well space
do i have to take :
- the nichia Alustripe PCB NICHIA 757 Tunable White 2700/6500K ?
https://www.led-tech.de/de/50cm-Alustre ... 2700-6500K
Image
- the Samsung Q Series Strip with LM301b ? ( i read than their are interesting but at very low wattage :/)
- the samsung F-Series Gen3 strip ??
- the Bridgelux EB Series Gen 2 ??

the nichia really interesse me for the spectre and the perfect size of their strip ( perfect for the heatsink size)
what do you think, witch led brand i have to choice, i want the best efficiency guyz!
if its not nichia ill go for a full 3500k spectre + my bloom ehancer strip ( see the draw ^^ )

we are going to get for each structure:
- 9 strips 40w
- 3 bloom ehancer strip
around 450w@100% , i wanna use them @75% between 350 and 400w.

I will need 3 rainbow disco led structure ( well call that this way^^) in my floower so its gonna be between 900 and 1200w in it.

ill go for this kind of structure:

everything is here to make a beautifull lights!

thanks you guyz if you read until there!! really apreciate the time you spent on me!! sorry for my crappy english, love love. Grisbi

welcome to the forum 😁 and your English is fine 😁
did you watch Growmau5 latest video also? πŸ˜„ I only heard of those lights just a week or two before that video came out. they are nice but you can build it cheaper.

love your idea.. but running 500mm strips is going to be tougher to find.. most run 560mm in length. I would run 3 60cm by 60cm or 2 60cm by 90cm fixtures side by side.. instead of running the strips full depth ( the 90cm) center the 60cm with 15cm or so on each side.. then run the 2 or 3 across the width ( 190cm)

basically your trying to light just over 18sqft ( 1.67 m2) using LG'S calculations of shooting for 30w a sqft with the strips at 75% of max power you can light that with around 540w. http://ledgardener.com/diy-led-strip-bu ... bridgelux/ I would look though that and figure out if the 3 60cm x 60cm or 2 60cm x 90cm (3x3 design) would work better when adding your disco ball colors 😁 it will be easier finding 560mm color strips also. ( I saw you linked cutter.. I think they do custom color pattern strips)

when I first was designing my light I was planning 800 some watts in a 150cm by 150cm tent over a 120cm by 120cm tray and scrog net.. using quantum boards and 660/730nm pucks to replace my 1000w hps single ended light.. I only have enough funds to get 4 boards and a 480w driver at the time I ordered.. and planned to add on later.. to my surprise that 480w was equaling if not doing better than my hps!! come to find out I'm running 30w a sqft with boards around 80% max power.. and the same diode count as the strip build.. dumb luck I did LG'S numbers before he made that blog!!

keep asking questions.. keep digging thru here... you will have your progrowtech clones!!! 😁

again welcome to the forum.. and sorry I got into story mode now and then πŸ˜„
cheers

oh yea I almost forgot.. most of the strips from the diy blog will fit that heatsink! most are just under 25mm 😁

yes i saw the growmau video, i wanted first to do full pcb installation, but since rigid led bar come out, i change my mind, and i dont have lot of height so, led strip is perfect for my situation no?
yes i might be listen to you and doing a 3 structure like (23")60x (31")80cm (its gonna be packed in my (35" )90 cm x (75")190cm :D but with this size your right i can find lot of strips ) structure with this kind of heatsink like in the ledgardner tutorial:
http://www.heatsinkusa.com/2-079-wide-e ... -heatsink/
so if i read good, i might choose the "samsung F-Series Gen3 strip" ?? for the performance, want your opinion on it.
but what about the nichia? look damn good too no?
i know its maybee too much, ill may put off some bar, but you get my spirit, juste want fulllll cover of the canope, and i just have for idea to put the discoball color on the side of the room, juste under canope, to put some light there during flower boom, gonna be good for sure.
some other question:
im looking for led strip color mix like deep red/blue like this one i put below, do you know any other stuff like that? wanna find so bad a solution for extra blue red:
https://www.led-tech.de/en/50cm-Osram-S ... row-Stripe

I have done research but dont find any acrilyque cover of plastic to cover the led strip correctly , wanna make them splash proff ( you know...kind of water proof ahahah  )
thank you dude for your reactivity! so cool
cherrs!

the F double strips are the best for the lm561c.. the Q series with the lm301b are more efficient but you need more of them... the bridgelux gen 2 strips are on par with the F single row strips.. I haven't had a Nichia strip yet, but listening to led gurus on YouTube they say the 757 packages are right there with the other 3030 packages. ( lm301b) only thing about F series double row strips are 2" wide instead of 1"

http://www.cutter.com.au/products.php?c ... Linear+PCB cutter might have a 560mm strip you can custom color pattern. I know they got the Nichia strips.

https://www.rapidled.com/mass-medical-s ... ement-kit/
or you can use monos like this to do it.. ( a little pricey to me but it's simple to assemble)

I'm thinking the strips use the ledil Florence series like the quantum boards https://www.digikey.com/catalog/en/part ... ries/60007
I haven't seen many use them yet 😁

ok i see more clearly now ( even i havent sleep yet  )
if its not nichia; because i may try those beast on 3000k !! it will be Fserie gen3 double strips full 3500k ( i read a studie by hlg, mixing white spectre doesnt really get advantage)

and i found this website really interessing for waterproofing :
https://www.solidapollo.com/waterproofing-accessories/

and somestuff to mount them properly
https://www.solidapollo.com/MiniWallwas ... -Channels/

hmmm and what about that too:
http://www.stevesleds.com/HD-Heatsink_p_334.html
hihihi i think we are going to make killer lamp! :D
i have time, ill buy that for next month...cant wait
thanx you sir! dont hesitate to share link to make clean structure , clean electric part...wanna do nice lamp !!

The solid apollo stuff looks interesting but double check your width on the strips. Looks like most of the stuff on there is for 12mm - 15mm. F-series is bigger than this, 18 iirc.

Been trying to find some items like this myself. What would also be nice is an engergized channel that the "bars" (heatsink) clip into that have pos/neg contact points along the whole rail. So if you snap the bar into the rail it gets power. You could add more bars\strips or slide them into any position. You would just wire the strip to the bar only. I think i found track lighting like this. Hopefully this makes sense :)

will be amazing with this power management system chabbudy!! but ill do on the simplist and secure way!!
so the "led-tech.de" guyz were so nice!!!:
i asked them if they could make for me nichia led strip on 2700k/4000k and this is theire answer:

"Yes, we can make a special equipment it with 2700K & 4000K.
Channel 1 for example 2700K
Channel 2 for example 4000K

Price each PCB: 25,21 € Net per pcs"

hehehe one step after one other!!
it will be full led strip like that!! so happy!

I definitely like that aluminum t-slot "thingy" for the frame though.....thats nice. One more part added to my bigger build parts list :)

Now to figure out how to attach heatsinkusa sinks to that using t-slot adapters or using a prefab one that has the same attachement system...Klus?

hmmm with those aluminium stuff?
Image

i am pretty sur their is so much way to fix an heatsink, im not an electrician guy, but im sure theire is something to fix that!
and i dont have this probleme anymore
ill use those to put my pcb on:
https://www.led-tech.de/de/CoverLine-Al ... -Abdeckung

and this end cap i think we can imagine a fixation system :
https://www.led-tech.de/en/Coverline-Se ... -with-slot

or that system too no?:
https://www.solidapollo.com/Mini-Wallwa ... ckets.html
https://www.solidapollo.com/Mini-Wallwa ... dcaps.html

look how the nichia strip fit perfectly with the heatsink from german stuff :o :D  8-) 8-)

Exactly.

The solid apollo is a little too skinny @ 15mm.

The german stuff looks perfect but im in US.

I may be able to use the wallwash brackets though.......

Ideally i would like to find something like the german channels prefabbed with the t-slots to connect right to the frame. Be nice and simple to put together.
