new bridgelux model? VESTA® 90CRI, 130lm/W
you put the wrong price. it's 10.7$
and for the F564B i get 128 umol/s (=8851 lm * 0.0145)

For vesta strips, if i understand well, it's 2 x 25v (can raise to 26v) for each strip.
So for 2 strips in series, you need around 110v
Most meanwell drivers like HLG-60 or LPC-60 got only 100v max output so to be sure i would go for a HLG-80H-C700 type A
http://www.meanwell.com/webapp/product/ ... =HLG-80H-C
64-129V 420-700mA output. This one would be great cuz you can dim intensity from 420 to 700mA that fit well the vesta 2'
I'm not really sure about the prices, it depends when i open digikey on the french page or on the USA page, and anyway if i want some i need to add taxes. Can u tell me the price you got for the samsung strip and i'm gonn correct the taab with your values
I got 0.01485 for lm to photons factor cuz it is LM561C spectrum

prices are:
VESTA: 10.7$
F564B: 27.1$
i ordered stuff for 65$ to switzerland and i paid 7$ in taxes (free shipping) not bad
i used 0.0145 multiplier because i found they used it here for lm561C 3000K CRI80: http://www.rollitup.org/t/par-multiplier-thread.928907/
they may be wrong

Okay, i just edit the post with correct prices thx.tazztone wrote: ↑Tue Apr 10, 2018 2:21 pm8.67 is in €LivingLight wrote: ↑Tue Apr 10, 2018 2:06 pmI'm not really sure about the prices, it depends when i open digikey on the french page or on the USA page

EDIT: they have just calculated the lm to PAR coefficient when i'm giving the lm to photons (from 350 to 750)
It's not a huge approximation and it is better than nothing. I personally checked (on vero gen7) my calculations and they are pretty close to bridgelux calculator so i think mines are ok but i still can do a mistake
Considering the huge range of error from the datasheets, it sounds ridiculous to compare 125 umol to 130umol or such a little difference.
When you just take a look at the 7% error on flux measurement accepted by bridgelux, or just the difference between "min flux" and "typ fux".
That's not a reason for being lazy on accuracy, with such a huge error possibility i think we can't bring more approximations in our calculations. So the difficulty is to do very accurate calculation and still remember we got to be really cautions on results interpretation and extrapolation

Thank you too, it's very important to share with people who can understand this kind of information cuz it can make me realize where i'm doing mistakes.
Also your study on emmerson is very interesting i'm reading it at the moment, i will try to extrapolate a bit playing with the graphs
i found it just from a quick Google and only read the abstract.
but i found i could download the whole study by using sci-hub.tw
very cool for research.
this page reminded me of aaron swartz and his guerrilla open access manifesto... and how he commited suicide because law enforcement wanted to prosecute him to the fullest extent possible for mass downloading scientific papers in his university.
but yea the far red from the vestas or other CRI90 light sources might actually enhance photosynthesis at other wavelengths.

So, are you connecting 1 driver to half the strip on each strip in series or parallel? What will your strips run at?
Sorry still trying to understand these strips lol.
