Help Me Weigh My Options!

Good morning all,

I'm currently growing in a 2x4 tent. It sucks. My 2 plants eat every square inch of room inside. Im wanting to transition out of the tent and use the room instead. The rooms footprint isn't big, 4x8. It's a closet addition, actually. I want to use the back half, so 2x8, as the grow area. As of right now I'm using 3 photon phantom boards, 2 wavy and 1 fusion. I wanted to get 3 more and call it a day, but not sure when his stock will be back. Do I bite the bullet and grab 3 of the sunboards he has in stock, use cobs to fill out my fixture, or wait?

Any other advise??

Never heard about the product before. You said its the lm561c but I saw some thread at RIU where user 'grand blunt wizard' is talking about a propriety spectrum with high cri in the fusion boards?

The gear seems pretty ok. I saw something the owner was writing, and at the time he didnt have all the tests on the actual performance of the light yet. I don't know if he ever came up with it?

They seem pretty cheap though. If your space is high, and you want to grow tall plants, then strips and side lighting might be something to look at.

The boards work great. They are indeed genuine lm561c s6 bin except the fusion board has some tianchen 660nm reds. I am looking to grow tallish plants. My pots are 20g each so plenty of root space. I'm just not sure if I should settle for 3 3500k or 4000k lights instead of waiting for his other boards.

If you like to grow tall you might want to consider strips as side lighting. Would likely give more bang for your buck, getting solid nugs from bottom up.

If your on a tight budget, digikey has a 75w Thomas Research Products driver thats about 10$, and vesta strips are like 4e for 280mm and 8e for 560mm... Tunable spectrum so you can control your node length in veg, and 90cri like I guess your board with tiangchen diodes.

Or are you deficient in power above? Whats your wattage now? People here would estimate you need 480w for 16 square foot. I think that actually generates a level of light that for example fluence would advise running CO2 with

I went ahead and got 3 of the 4000k boards. Mixed with the 3 I already own there shouldn't be any issues. As for power deficiency, I'd rather be able to keep as much distance as possible between the light and the fixture. Each board will be just under 100w, so let's round that off to about 575-600w. Ive also got the option to dim them if needed.
