Hello,
putting together a build with 10
https://www.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearc ... 3537234788
need some help on how to figure out a dimmable driver, meanwell if possible.
Any help is appreciated.

That link doesn't bring up anything. 10 what? I'm assuming strips. What kind of strips.

Not sure why that link isn't working. I clicked on it before posting and it went through.

Yes, 10 1' strips. (Samsung LT-H562D 3000k) Forward voltage is 22.5v. If the 2700k had the same forward voltage, would it be possible to use 5x5 (3k and 2.7k)?

I am just starting out with light building and have very little (none) experience with electricity and how to build without starting fires or blowing fuses. We'd like to avoid those,

welcome to the forum ๐Ÿ˜

whether it's the one footers or two ( ya said one foot but then put 562 instead of 282 ๐Ÿ˜ 562=2'ers) both are -24 drivers.. and yes you can mix and match CCT spectrum..

http://ledgardener.com/parallel-strip-build-tool/

using Ledgardener's parallel strip tool... running 10 one footers at 75% of max would need a hlg-120h-24... if you were to do 10 two footers it would be a hlg-240h-24.. A/B type dimming is up to you..

again welcome to the fun ๐Ÿ˜ don't hesitate to ask questions ๐Ÿ˜

JGG /\ Thanks for clearing that up, you rock! That link to the calculator for figuring the driver is pretty cool.

One question, when it says 50%-75%-100%, does that mean that when the driver is running at 100% the chips are being driven at the corresponding power level? With the driver turned all the way up, the chips are being driven at 50%-75%-100% of their rated max rated operating power?

Thanks for catching that they were 2' strips instead of 1' (more light!)

on the HLG240, does that equate to 240w @ 120v = 2 amps from the wall
HLG120 120w @ 120v = 1 amp from the wall.

Trying to figure what I can safely run off the wall with a 10amp breaker in the fuse box

Thanks again for your help.

The datasheet says the 240 draws 4a from 115v at the wall. So the 120 would draw 2a.

those 25/50/75/100%'s are in reference to the amount of current each strip is being ran at.. 100% is the max the strip handle handle ( max rating) 25% is running them really really soft with higher efficacy.( higher lum/w - umole/j ) Ledgardener recommend trying to stay around or under 75%

I like to set it to 1 strip then play with those %'s..... let's me see what ma = each % there's to many types of strips I forget each ones current levels..

and yeah like SD mentioned... your 240 is 4A on 110v..... 2A on 220v input.. with a ten amp breaker ya should only run two and still have room for a few fans, air pumps etc. I pulled out a 10A and threw a 15A 110 breaker and a 20A 220 breaker in just so I could play with multiple 480w or 600w drivers ๐Ÿ˜
