Yeah, unless they're on separate channels that you can turn on/off or dim. I could see using only 4000k for veg with a little 2700k and then switching to 2700k with a bit of 4000k for flower.sdfoster22 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 27, 2018 1:43 pmPlus, mixing 4000k and 2700k is like having all 3500k pretty much.

To a certain extent, it will come down to personal preference and/or budget. Anyway, it looks like they are different channels on that last board, which would make a lot more sense to me.
For the budget conscious, a single lamp with just 3000k is a typical choice. Commercial growers are more likely to invest in multiple spectra that they can customise.

Different spectrum on different channels so we can control the light is definitely my preference as well. A light is a tool. The more control I have after meeting 1000+ PPFD efficiently and reliably, the better.

Just an my observation. You are throwing a hell of a lot of stuff 'against the wall' and some of the R&D you are engaging in seems pedestrian for someone in the position of running or representing the company selling the stuff. Just throwing the data and graphs up without you yourself gaining in understanding of the craft here is a turn-off for me. Seems like a very different business culture that is permeating the west more because of Chinese cost advantage.
That last question posed is particularly troubling.
That said, yes the diode is and has been popular for growing.
