Guys could you help me understand what's wrong?

I have this setup:
16x bxeb gen2 560mmm 3500k
wired as 2s8p
on a HLG-150h-42b (38-46v 3.6Amp)

Today I was working in the tent and I noticed a flickering, I recently got a watt-meter and plugged it in:
wall draw is between 70-80w.
I obviously failed at selecting the driver.

While I review all the math behind, what driver would you suggest me to run each strip between 300-400mA per strip?

Strange. Eyeballing the strip specs, it looks like at (3.6/8=)0.45A, the strips run around 19.2V, and (2*19.2) 38.4V is well within the range of the driver.

Measure the voltages on the DC side, what is the driver outputting? Double check the 2S8P wiring? Try 2s7p?

PS if you have the -42B driver, don't use the 'Voltage Adj. Range' Of 38-46v, that's only for the -42A driver. 21-42V is the range you're interested in.

Thx for posting
This morning I checked connection twice and everything seems ok.
It is the 42b yea, I am reviewing the math behind and I can't understand why it is working like that.
I don't think this could be a problem with the watt-meter...
Now lights are off, tomorrow morning I'll monitor the DC side.

Never checked the wattage during last grow but results were awesome...

I checked the voltage and it is 36.7-36.8v
I am unable to measure the current atm

Shouldn't you be running 8s2p? Wired 2s8p that driver shouldn't turn on.

mmmh
I have 8 groups in parallel
each group is made of 2 strips in series

two 560mm strips in series should be like one 1120mm strip.

What driver would you suggest?
cv and B preferably

Those strips should be getting 500-600mA each (reported max current for that driver is ~4.8A). The design looks solid to me. Is the flickering fast or slow? Do you have a pic of the wiring?

I don't have a pic but I can make an easy paint.
It is a fast flickering but not steady: sometimes it starts changing brightness up & down.
Tomorrow I will look around for a roll of solid core wire and rebuild the whole light.

I supposed to have 120-150w total. I harvested 200gr dry.
It gives me a 1.3-1.6 gr/w that is quite common.
but 200gr/80w gives a 2.5 ratio that would be quite impressive.

I rewired everything and flickering seems gone.

Light is made of 2 fixtures wired in parallel.
Here it is the wiring :

IMG_20181001_111024_HDR.jpg
Watt-a-meter shows a stable value of 44.9w
While my old multimeter placed on the fixture1's wagos gives this reading:
IMG_20181001_112743_HDR.jpg
And at the driver side, with both fixtures connected:
IMG_20181001_113138_HDR (1).jpg
At this point the multimeter doesn't give me a stable reading but it jumps from 0 to 14.4v each second

EDIT: pot dimmer is 100k

Are your strips not 13.6W each @ 50%?
13.6 X 16=217.6 wats
I'm just trying to learn hear too.
