Aloha & The ladies of the evening and perks have worked well for Boeing selling airliners for many decades too. I think Seoul Semiconductor is taking the horticulture market seriously.

Marine, I've come to respect your opinion so am curious as to WHY you're liking Seoul Semiconductor and what aboot the 25 watt sunlikes you found interesting. Thanks and Aloha!Marine2143 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 7:46 pmAloha & The ladies of the evening and perks have worked well for Boeing selling airliners for many decades too. Aloha & The first thing we liked about the Sunlike Chips from Seoul Semiconductor is they were free 3,4,5K. to use for testing. Plant growth was great under all three but not as good as the Fortimo strips we compared them with.
Update on the special blue I am having made as a substitute for using sunlike and optisolis to get near UV
The first pump is 400nm
I want the 400nm to be the peak so they are going to try again
Spectrum should look something like this once they get it right

Having a color like this reduces the need to stock so many different color temperatures of leds. It also has 400nm and I don't think anyone does a 3030 with 400nm at the moment.
With this one chip and a cri90 Nichia 2700K it would be possible to make any colour blend from 2700k to 10,000k.

Add the UV blue to the 2700K and PC red, and you have a nice, full spectrum.TEKNIK wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2019 11:38 amHaving a color like this reduces the need to stock so many different color temperatures of leds. It also has 400nm and I don't think anyone does a 3030 with 400nm at the moment.

I am pretty keen to get the samples of all these blues I'm working on, it will make things so simple and easy to alter spectrums on a basic pcb.
Manufacturing is difficult at times due to stock overheads, this unique product will free up cash flow and end up reducing overall costs to the end user as a result.

Nothing comes close to optisolis, the spectrum is near perfect once a blend is made.
Mark and I reached 99.3CRI using a blend of 5k 4k and 3k optisolis.
The goal is to reach 100CRI using optisolis with some other special chips that will be available soon
