It seems that hlg is trying to figure out production still since moving. On gml show last Friday, he said they last ordered 2000 boards per month... He thought that would last a year.. Lol they've been burning through them too fast lol. Hlg is working on their own shop for production. Hopefully that helps with stock lol.

Growerslights.com has some 260 XW and XL kit's at 3k for 330$ each
*Edit*

If anyone knows can tell me;
Is 260w from four QB65's/QB120's (same light, right?) equal to 260w from two QB288's? Or is there a difference, like in "intensity" or "penetration" etc?

Thanks.

The diodes on the 120s are more spread out, so depending on the size of the space and the configuration of the fixture, you may be able to achieve greater uniformity with the four 120s. However, you'd also be running them nearer their max current, so the efficiency will be lower than with two 288s. These things haven't been around long enough to estimate the long-term effects of running them really hot vs running them softer, but common sense would seem to indicate that the 120s would die before the 288s. But that would most likely be years from now.

Personally, I built two 250w QB120s rigs rather than go with QB288-based lights. Part of the reason for that was cost: it's significantly cheaper to build with 120s because they don't need heatsinks, and however long they last (years, I suspect), it'll be worth what I spent. But another reason I went this route was because I believed the spread on the 120s was better for my space.

Dang. If they came available, I would drive them at 2100mA rather than 2800mA. That’s too close to max for my comfort. The driver their kit comes with is plenty powerful for 2 boards. So, you could run 2x HLG-240H-C2100 drivers (each powers 2x QB288) or you could run 1x HLG-480H-C2100 for 4x Qb288, all on one driver.
Thanks for the advice LEDG.
Yea, the stock 240H-C2100 gets two boards up to about 285w right, so two of those would beat match or beat an HLG550 anyway.

*sigh*, haha. Yea, I just need the no frills kits with no driver/accesories to be available in 3000k *anywhere*, even from a US store I'd still save a significant amount I think.

Wanna sell some?
Thanks.
On the most recent GML show, I believe Steve/HLG, said that the 3000k boards will be available soon.

Yea, I think he did. 1000's of other people also have their cards ready. They'll probably sell out in hours, what do you think? I'm talking qb288 3000k; there'll probably be plenty of everything else, lol.
But hopefully I can get a couple before people/businesses buy'em up by the 20's or 50's, or whatever happens. Lol.

Thanks for the reply.

Thanks Humple. The boards themselves are cheaper too (heatsinks or not) I think, at least for Canadians.
The qb120's 4pk is a good value for sure.

I don't know, but just re-watched part of the show, and Steve said that in 2 weeks there will be plenty, plenty of "everything". Good luck.

That's right, I remember that.
K, thanks. :)
