Anybody in Europe for a bulk purchase?
The price difference compared to HLG is making me drool.. and the shipping...
Do you think they be open to an even smaller order? like a couple of boards and sinks?
I'm guessing the heat sinks are pre-drilled right?
Do they offer different heat sinks based on heat requirement or one size fits all?
I posted a link above, same factory, you can find some prices.oozing wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 8:56 pmThe price difference compared to HLG is making me drool.. and the shipping...

heatsinks look to be predrilled, similar to HLG ones so it is big enough to cool a pcb at max power. They do also have a bigger sized heatsink that fit 2 boards.

give it a check, keep in mind shipping is like 70usd.
The hlg-320h-48b driver is $84USD -- $70 assuming they buy in bulk and feel generous. It doesn't go any lower. That means three 288-diode boards cost $113. Subtracting a guesstimated $13 for the larger heatsink, that makes it $0.11 per diode, which is approximately the market price for them. The rest can be considered freebies. I'd be careful of anybody offering a price that's any lower than that. Meijiu have a relatively lower transaction volume, but seem to be in the business long enough to be trustworthy.
As with all purchases with Alibaba, pricing and shipping become considerably more advantageous when you pass from 3-units to 30.
Why are RIU discussions always 50-page long flamewars..? It's impossible to read through :/Grower wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 10:30 amMeiju feedback

I started reading a couple of others, and rather than being useful it feels more like a chore.

There seems to be https://r2thk.en.alibaba.com/?spm=a2700 ... d5372uLAbs this one too. Btw some boards are going to be tested by a third person with a par meter
Finishing up the order over this weekend/early next week: anybody who wants to participate is welcome to send me a private message.
Looks like it will be the LM561c diode at 90CRI of either 3000K or 3500K printed on a constant current, aluminum core strip shape (18mm wide).
I had one supplier send me a picture of the reel they have in stock, which matches the Samsung catalog code. Others will be putting in an order with Samsung to supply just that. There's still no guarantee of anything, but I'm feeling very reassured about the handful of suppliers I've contacted. They were all clear about availability, didn't bullshit me about anything (said no about stuff they didn't have), and overall gave the impression of being trustworthy.
P.S.,
I'll post later on one of the other forums here to figure out how to drive this beast ... Can't quite wrap my head around that ...
