Hello to all,

Just concluded my build of 2x HLG QB324 , with slate 2 heat sink, 90 degree custom optics, mounted on a simple aluminium frame I have built.

I have wired in parallel with the HLG-320H-54A driver, using a 3 slots wago directly from the driver, insted os using the boards conector to pass thru, hope thats fine. I regret a bit not getting the B series for remote dimming.

The heat sinks are getting very hot if I run at max(both knobs), not dimmed in any way, tent gets at 28c in 1-2 hours, but the heatsink is hot to the touch, cant keep my hands on, the frame is ok, you think is best for me to dial down a bit the voltage to get less heat? My only consern is safety and melting the boards...

Now I just have to get a hang on the hight distance for good results.

For the rest I’m very exited to put this to use and super satisfied,

Thanks a lot for all the infos! All the best! Happy growing!

Congrats! The way you have them wired is fine. If you are running them full power on the A version, you are about 94% of max recommended power. I would suggest putting some air to them. At least a 6" clip fan blowing across both.
Cheers!

Thanks a lot for all the support!!! Perfect, I had one here just did that.
It’s insanely bright, I had dimmed a bit to control the tent heat to 27c max temp, and still a lot of light.

I’m very happy with the quality of this setup! Was very fun to build!

Happy growing!
