Hi all i am a long time HID grower and switching to LED , I need to light a 4x8 space and have looked at a QB build but want to look at the strip option too, any advice on this set up would be appreciated. Dont want to skimp on power so im thinking 1200-1400 w for the 4x8

Thanks for any help

If you have the height boards are easier and can be spaced for an even spread across the canopy. Strips work better at lower hang heights. Well spaced boards can give you better coverage and they are usually cheaper and easier to install

Some Calculations...
4' x 8' = 32 sq ft or ~ 3.2 sq m (m2)

The typical recommendation (based on HID Fixture Watts)
@ 30 - 40 Watts (per sq ft) * 32 sq ft = 960 - 1280 Watts
1280 Watts * 1.5 PPE (PPF/W) = 1920 PPF

Recommendation based on PPFD and Efficient LED (Strips and Boards)
@ 80 PPF (CO2 Enhanced Flower per 0.1 sq m) * 32 = 2560 PPF
2560 PPF / 2.5 PPE (PPF/W) = 1024 Watts
2560 PPF / 72 PPF each (BXEB-L1120Z-35E4000-C-C3, Gen3 1120mm) = ~ 36 strips

Selected Drivers (Dimmable);
HLG-600H-42AB = 2 @ 600 = 1200 Watts * 2.5 PPE (BXEB @ 33.3 watts each strip) = 3000 PPF
HLG-320H-42AB = 4 @ 320 = 1280 Watts * 2.5 PPE (BXEB @ 35.5 watts each strip) = 3200 PPF
HLG-240H-42AB = 4 @ 240 = 960 Watts * 2.7 PPE (BXEB @ 26.6 watts each strip) = 2592 PPF
