potentiometer question

I contacted rapidled about their cased potentiometer. I asked if they had a 33k ohm one or could do the 30k ohm with resistor wired in. This was their response:

resistance is variable on the cased pot so one cased pot will work for three drivers.


Just wanted to double check if this is ok because as far as i knew i needed a linear taper pot of a specific resistance

The Rapid LED one should also work fine. I've used some on 2 driver configs and they have a bit of dead spot at the end but otherwise seem fine.
